What is PADI DSD – Discover SCUBA Diving?
If you want to try diving on your holidays, but aren’t ready for a full course, then you can simply discover what is SCUBA diving during your stay in Siquijor by enrolling in our DSD program.
This introduction to diving will make you experiment new feelings like zero gravity, absolute freedom of mouvement, and breathing air underwater. You will also discover a new world while you explore the reef. You can believe us, diving is as good as it looks!
And maybe, at the end of the day, you will want to become a certified diver and do your PADI Open Water !
Requirements for the PADI DSD
To sign up for a PADI Discover SCUBA Diving, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with SCUBA diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
If you don’t want your little ones to be left on the side, we offer a Bubblemaker program for kids from 8 years old.

What is the content
of the PADI DSD?
During your PADI DSD program, you will learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of our PADI professional.
Before your first dive on the reef of Siquijor, you will practice a few skills in shallow water to get prepared for your adventure.
Get ready to:
- Go quickly over the SCUBA equipment and feel how easy it is to move underwater with your gear.
- Find out what it’s like to breath underwater.
- Learn key skills that you’ll use on every SCUBA dive.
- Have fun swimming with the fish around the reef and exploring the wonders of Siquijor Island.
DSD Price and duration
1/2 day program
1 dive: ₱3,400
2 dives (same day): ₱5,200
All included:
- Briefing.
- Confined water session.
- 1 or 2 dives to explore the reef.
- Environmental fee
- Water, tea, brewed coffee and snacks.
- Equipment.
- Log your dive(s) and learn about the fish and corals you saw underwater.
