Before booking your PADI Open Water Course in Siquijor, you’ll probably find the answer to your question below. If not, we’re always happy to help.
Yes.
You’ll need to swim 200 metres—or 300 metres with a mask, fins and snorkel—and float or tread water for 10 minutes. There is no time limit for the swim.
No problem.
Everyone learns differently. We’ll adapt the pace whenever possible. If you need additional training sessions before your open water dives, we’ll discuss the available options with you.
Safety comes first. If sea conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll adjust the schedule so you can complete your dives safely.
Rain alone rarely prevents us from diving; sea conditions are what determine the schedule.
English, French and Spanish.
Yes.
Your PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognised worldwide and does not expire. If you haven’t dived for a long time, a refresher may be recommended before returning to the water.
Absolutely.
Many divers wear soft contact lenses while diving. If you don’t use contact lenses, a prescription mask may be an option. Let us know before your course so we can discuss what works best for you.
Yes.
Before the course, you’ll complete the official PADI Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire. A “Yes” answer does not automatically prevent you from diving, but it may require medical clearance from a physician before you enter the water.
